YOU:   Where does the band name come from?
US:   "Shaped Like A Gun" is the title of a song by the band Verbena, off their 1997 album Souls for Sale. Sounded like a good band name.

YOU:   How did string instruments make it into the band?
US:   Shaped Like A Gun was always envisioned with strings playing a major role in the music; they are just as, if not more important than bass & drums in developing the overall sound of the band. Without them it's an entirely different project. Actually, there are no strings in the band anymore, sorry.

YOU:   How long have you been together?
US:   Ray, Kestrin and Andrea started performing in October 2004, but the full 5-piece lineup wasn't formed until March 2005. Band fell apart in 2006. Reformed in late 2007. Fell apart in 2008. Reforming in 2009. Third time's a charm.

YOU:   What type of effect is used on the vocals?
US:   No vocal effects of any kind are used. Nothing is recorded that cannot be reproduced live.

YOU:   What does mean?
US:   I ----- YOU
